Founder & President
Brett Bandi
Brett Bandi is the founder and president of Bandi Builders. His passion for construction began in childhood, accompanying his father, a general contractor, to jobsites and developing an early appreciation for craftsmanship.
In 2000, at just 19 years old, he founded Bandi Builders in Harbor Springs. What began with modest residential projects steadily evolved into an established Northern Michigan custom home builder, specializing in luxury homes, major renovations and residential development.
The company’s growth came organically, through one successful project and one satisfied client at a time. As his reputation developed, client referrals led to increasingly sophisticated projects and opportunities to work with some of Michigan’s premier residential architects.
Throughout his career, Brett has learned from generous mentors, craftsmen, managers and established builders. The entrepreneurs in his family were just as influential, shaping his approach to leadership, responsibility and business.
Today, Bandi Builders employs approximately 40 people and is known for craftsmanship, transparency and lasting client relationships. Brett believes successful custom home building requires understanding clients, respecting their investment and treating their projects with the same care he would his own.
For Brett, success is measured not only by the homes his company builds, but by the trust earned and the relationships that last long after a project is complete.
While Brett genuinely loves the construction industry and the business he has spent his life building, his greatest fulfillment comes from time spent with his wife, Sandra, and his two grown children. Family remains at the center of his life and provides perspective on what matters most.
Brett remains closely involved in the direction, culture and standards of Bandi Builders while trusting experienced project managers to manage their projects. His philosophy is straightforward:
“Find talented people. Give them responsibility. Support them. Let them do their jobs.”
That approach has allowed Bandi Builders to develop an experienced team capable of managing large, complicated projects while maintaining personal attention to each client.
